Family Film Friday

This week we’ll take a look at my paternal grandparents.

This is a picture of Grandma when she was 16 and Granddad when he was 19. This was taken while they were dating. Aren’t they cute??

This is my Grandma. She gave birth to two sets of identical twin boys. The first set of twins was born premature and one of them died when he was only a few days old. Grandma was the only woman of the house on their farm. She’s an AMAZING cook. Everything she makes is from scratch and no recipes used to make it.

This is my Granddad. He died while I was in middle school in the same house he was born in. He lived on this farm his entire life. I think he was the most patient man I have ever met. He had 4 granddaughters and he tolerated all of us climbing all over him, he even played dress up with us.

I had a pretty good birthday, except for not being able to sleep the night before. I ended up having to take a nap yesterday because I felt like crap. We went to Red Lobster and it was really good. We have left overs, hopefully I can leave them alone and let Brian finish them off. We also stopped at Cold Stone and got one of their cakes. So, there is left over cake in the freezer that I’m determined to leave alone. Don’t tell Cold Stone, but it wasn’t that good. I think DQ’s icecream cake is better. Here is my menu for today.

I was going to make chicken salad with some left over cooked chicken breasts for lunch, but I’m out of mayo. I need to go to the grocery store, so I’m eating from whatever we have in the house.

B-Blueberry Oatmeal (2)

L- 2 Fish Filets (2), Shrimp (2), Rice (5)

Snack- Progresso Light Chicken & Noodle Soup (4), Saltines (3)

D-Taco Salad (6)

That leaves 3 points for a pudding cup or ice cream bar later.

I think I’m going to order my camera and one of the lenses I want today. Of course every time I think I’ve decided on the camera I want I start second guessing myself.  I’m just going to have to bight the bullet and order it.  The down fall of ordering the more expensive camera is that I’m going to have to slowly save up money for the lenses I want. I think it will be worth it in the long run though.
